He quietly laughed to himself, stroking her sleeping face—his heart never in wildest dreams imagining that his thoughtless wish would one day come true and that he would actually look into her eyes say this to her months later in the privacy of their Lake House, right before he gifted her with the city she has wanted all her life. . . .
‘It means that from this moment forth, I am unconditionally and eternally yours. . . . ’
“. . . Death will never part us.
I’ll love you until the last breath of forever; I’ll love you until Paris fades. . .”
